Advance Adapter Note: When using the Ford NP205, we offer a NP205 transfer case shifter bracket. This bracket is sold separately.
The Dodge NV4500 4WD adapter to Ford NP205 / 208 is 1.625" in length.
Adapter material is 356 T6 heat treated aluminum alloy. The adapter kit includes an adapter ring for the Ford transfer case, spud shaft with 31 spline x 29 internal spline, gasket, fastening hardware and adapter instructions.
Note: The Borg Warner transfer case will need 10 MM x 1.5 thread SHCS bolts. The Bolt heads are turned to fit the adapter casting and are stocked under our part number 716470 ( Qty 6 needed ). We do not ship these in the kit unless specified.
Transfer Case
The Ford transfer cases NP205, NP208, and the various Borg Warner 1300 series are all basically treated the same when it comes to adapting to them. They all have a circular 6 bolt pattern, a 31 spline input, and same index diameter.
Transmission
The adapter kit is designed for exclusive use with a Dodge 4WD NV4500 transmission with a 29 spline output shaft. Shortening of the transmission output shaft is required.
