Dana 18 and Dana 20 3.15:1 Low Gear Sets (6 Spline Input Only)
Upgrade the performance and crawl ratio of your Dana 18 or Dana 20 transfer case with a premium 3.15:1 low gear set. These gear sets are designed to significantly improve low-speed control, making them ideal for rock crawling and technical off-road driving. Each kit includes gears only. A rebuild kit with gaskets, seals and bearings is required and sold separately under part number 401801.
Dana 20 Low Gear Set
This 3.15:1 low range kit fits Dana 20 transfer case models used from 1963 to 1979 in CJ Jeeps, Jeepsters, Jeep trucks and Wagoneers, as well as 1972 to 1979 International Scouts. The kit replaces the factory 2.03:1 low range gear set with a stronger, five-gear assembly. A small amount of internal case grinding is required for proper installation.
The redesigned low gear set is engineered to withstand up to 300 ft-lbs of torque, making it more than capable of handling the demands of a stock V8 engine.
Dana 18 Low Gear Set
The Dana 18 version is available under part number 418315. This kit provides the same improved 3.15:1 crawl ratio for Dana 18 transfer cases while maintaining compatibility with the stock 6-spline input.
