Advance Adapter
The 700R automatic transmission adapter to the Jeep Dana 300 transfer case is 3.650" in length. The adapter material is 356 T6 heat treated aluminum alloy and has a provision for a transmission mount. The adapter kit includes an adapter housing, 27 x 23 spud shaft, new 700R output shaft, bearing, snap rings, o-ring, gasket, fastening hardware and adapter instructions.
Transfer Case
The adapter assembly fits the1980-86 Jeep Dana 300. All 300s use a 23 spline input. Some of the adapters we manufacture include a new Dana 300 input with a different input spline. Therefore, if you obtain a Dana 300 from a salvage yard, please verify the input spline.
Transmission
This kit is designed for exclusive use with the 2wd 700R-4 / 4L60 / 4L60E manufactured thru 1996. The overall case length of the transmission is 23.375", has a non-removable bell housing, and a 4 bolt square rear case (early 4L60E will require P/N 716073). Late model 4L60E automatics will have a removable bell housing and a 6 bolt hex pattern rear case. The late model automatic will require an additional Advance Adapter to work with this kit (50-0405) or a complete adapter kit P/N 50-0432.
Note: This adapter assembly includes a custom output shaft that will need to be installed into the transmission. The one piece GM 700R4 output shaft used in this kit is made out of 4340 alloy steel. This output shaft is manufactured with the highest quality materials and standards as the OEM output shaft.
