This special clutch control bracket is designed for use with Chevy V-8 engine conversions in Jeep vehicles from 1972 to 1986. The kit is designed for jeeps previously equipped with mechanical linkage where a factory Chevy bellhousing is being used. Advance Adapter custom bellhousings typically do not need this bracket.
The stock clutch torque tube that is mounted between the original jeep bellhousing and the firewall support bracket can now be reinstalled by using this kit. The kit consists of a special aluminum plate that bolts directly to your new engine and Chevy bellhousing. A new pivot stud is also furnished for use with the new bracket so that adjustment can be made for various engine heights and engine locations.
