Description

The 716148 is a custom pilot bushing for adapting Chevy/Buick V6 engines to some Jeep transmissions with .67” pilot tips. The pilot bushing is normally supplied in several of our Chevy/Buick adapters and bellhousings. The pilot bushing is also commonly purchased separately for some odd conversions where the factory OEM pilot bushing with a .59” pilot tip is too small. The 716148 is considered an extended pilot, hence the 1.50” length.

Advance Adapters designed this special pilot bushing to solve the issue. The pilot bushing is manufactured of a special bronze oilite material. It is essentially a bronze alloy material that has been penetrated will oil. The bushing essentially has “pores” where oil can permeate throughout the bushing keeping the bushing properly lubricated for the transmission input shaft.
