I got it in a the craftsmanship was awesome. I did the swap in a day everything bolted tight up and yes only minor mods on whole conversion. The only thing i wish is that i could run mechanical fuel pump but well worth the trade off for ease of install. Total install time pulling old motor, onstall new motor and tuning it to running condition 14 hours thanks advance.
Fedex delivered the v8 saddle mount less than a week after I ordered it. It was very easy to install. The saddle mount itself is built like a tank, not too sure about the motor mounts themselves though. Overall I am very pleased with this kit.
jeep v8 conversion
the best part about the entire swap is the a.a. crossmember. Nobody even cares about the motor. the build quality and ezz of installation is top notch,everyone just stares at the crossmember.
stock gm mounts suck
saddle mount is great no problem but this kit comes with stock gm mounts that are known for being very flimsy and as a result with moderate wheeling have broken them twice
will keep the saddle but upgrade the gm mount
I have not yet gotten to install my V8 saddle mounts yet. I have been very impressed so far with the quality built mounts. It appears more than heavy duty enough for the job though. After I have removed and installed my small block Chevy, I will definatley be back to comment about it.
