Description

The 716193 is a custom extended pilot bushing for adapting ChevyV8 engines to transmissions with a .670” pilot tip. The bushing is normally supplied in our bellhousing kit PN712549 for mating a Chevy V8 to Ford transmission. The pilot bushing is sometimes purchased separately by customers attempting unique conversions where the OEM Chevy factory pilot bushing cannot be used due to its smaller .590” pilot bore.

Advance Adapters designed this special pilot bushing to solve the issue. The pilot bushing is manufactured of a special bronze oilite material. It is essentially a bronze alloy material that has be penetrated will oil. The bushing essentially has “pores” where oil can permeate throughout the bushing keeping the bushing properly lubricated for the transmission input shaft.
This pilot bushing can also be used with Buick 231 V6 engines.
